What remains after mining a mountain? An artistic approach to the experience of loss and grief through a re-enactment of the "Klagemutter" (weeping mother) - a regional figure haunting the surroundings of deserted mines around Geyer, an old mining town in the ore mountains.  

Between theoretical discourse and explorative play, a video series emerges that places the symbolic content of ancient mythologies in relation to current social and ecological crises.
